Quick tips: Hangovers
Alcohol can cause headaches by acting as a natural diuretic, leading to dehydration and chemical imbalances in our body. To combat this, don’t drink on an empty stomach. Have a meal that includes carbohydrates or fats beforehand, as this will help slow your body’s absorption of alcohol. It’s also important to stay hydrated while drinking alcohol. For example, drink plenty of water in between rounds. Even better; try coconut water, as this can restore your body’s salt and potassium balance. Avoid carbonated drinks, on the other hand, as these accelerate our body’s absorption of alcohol.
